This course builds on foundation techniques and skills students gained by completing MEDIA-161. Students will also be introduced to other post-production Adobe Creative Suite applications including After Effects, Speed Grade, Encor, and Media Encoder. This course is an introduction to digital film editing techniques using Adobe Premiere software. ![]() They will learn intermediate skills required to operate film production equipment and mastering post-production digital editing techniques. Students will produce and direct a short narrative film. This course, a continuation of MEDIA-152, provides students with advanced training in digital film production techniques. MEDIA-153 Intermediate Digital Film Productionģ units: 36 hours of lecture, 54 hours of lab, per term, SC, DG, CSU, UC Students will learn how to operate film equipment used in production and will learn post-production workflow techniques to complete film projects. Students will acquire filmmaking preproduction planning and scheduling skills. This course introduces students to the digital film production process. MEDIA-152 Introduction to Digital Film Productionģ Units: 36 hours of lecture, 54 hours of lab, per term, SC, DG, CSU, UC Includes a writing evaluation component as a significant part of the course requirement. Topics covered include script formatting and fundamental technical, conceptual and stylistic issues related to writing fiction and non-fiction scripts for informational and entertainment purposes in film and electronic media. This course provides instruction in writing scripts and treatments for a variety of media productions including film, television and multimedia. Students would learn the basics of digital media relevant to their work, including using images and graphics, copyright/creative commons, marketing/branding, basic HTML, social media communication techniques, and audience/UX/design.ģ Units: 54 hours of lecture, per term, SC, DG, CSU, UC Course trains people in how to build an online portfolio for their art and media work. This course will teach students the fundamentals of digital communication technologies and their application to showcase, share, and create media.
